Nikki called me a few weeks back and wanted a senior session that was different from a studio session. She specifically mentioned Bear’s Den and of course, I’m game for anything! We decided that between Bear’s Den and her own backyard, she’d have the natural setting photos she wanted, so we set a plan. Bear’s Den is fairly easily accessible (with a little help from my able bodied assistant, LOL) so we met late one afternoon and decided that the overlook would work nicely too.
Nikki was a GREAT SPORT and even indulged my crazy idea to have her jump in her pool at the end of the session (cold water and all, folks!) to get some fun shots with makeup, earrings and all. I love the pool shots, but I’m showing you one of them right now as a teaser…there are more!
Enjoy your preview, Nikki and I’ll be in touch very shortly with your full gallery !

Stay tuned for more fun seniors in the coming weeks! If you didn’t enjoy your senior photo session, why not do it again? This is the last official school photo session you’ll ever have…make it matter!
Meet Rebecca, senior at Loudoun Valley High School and my newest senior representative. Rebecca and I have worked together before, so she may look familiar, but I think you’ll agree she also looks totally different here. I love seeing the different looks seniors give me, and Rebecca was TOO MUCH FUN. We went through the clothes she brought and found backdrops that worked, and even pulled one out I have never used before – only to find it was PERFECT for Rebecca.
Just so I don’t bore you with all one backdrop, here’s a small sample of what Rebecca will see in her gallery – and beware, you WILL see these photos again in my advertising! Isn’t she gorgeous?????

To find out more about how you can senior photos like Rebecca will have, either chat with Rebecca at school, or call me at (540) 554 8743 or (703) 328 7675 and mention LOVE Rebecca’s preview. We’ll find YOUR senior look too….

I showed this session option just a week or so ago, but we had Lauren Withers in the studio before she left for her freshman year at Virginia Tech and I played with the box a little bit more. Here is Lauren’s box storyboard! She was a lot of fun to work with, as always, and since Tech freshman started this past week I’ve been thinking of her all weekend. Lauren, I hope you love Tech!

This finishes off to a 10×20 storyboard, and you can add this to your studio session booking with the option to purchase the storyboard shown in your shopping cart. What a fun way to showcase all your favorite outfits, and your favorite expressions!
You’ve met Mora already, but this is her second of two sessions and we made the most of it! We started in Red Rock Park in Leesburg, and ended up the evening in downtown Leesburg at some of my favorite, and a few new, “locations”. We found beautiful light, and of course, coupled with beautiful Mora, we had awesome results!
Mora made my job hard – I had so many to choose from! Here is a sampling of what Mora will see in her gallery – but with a whole lot more thrown in there.
If you are still considering fun and creative senior portraits, let’s talk about how we can set aside time and make your experience fun. Call 540 554 8743 or email patty@pattyschuchman.com to get all information on booking YOUR personalized senior session.
I am still accepting seniors for September and October and I’d love to have a chance to focus on YOU!

Mora - Loudoun Valley High School Senior

How’s that for a teaser, Mora? Hope you love them….stay tuned for the full gallery soon….
Since one member of this family is going off to college in just a matter of days, mom and dad wanted a few shots of the kids. Locations can be tricky on this side of the county as much of what we have is private property and difficult to track down because the scenes change so rapidly. Add to that summer grass is not the most appealing, we were still finalizing the location just a few hours before we shot these. But in the end, we actually used their own “backyard” of sorts – a beautiful golf course community – with grounds that had rolling stone walls, old barns, and wonderful backdrops. When the kids first arrived in the black and white outfits, I knew we’d have great shots of them in the different scenes the mom and I selected.
There are lots more, but I promised mom she’d only see the very narrowed down selection so she isn’t overwhelmed. I have my work cut out for me as leaving any of these behind is going to be very difficult!
Here’s one for now to keep you interested….

Where would you like YOUR family photograph to be taken? I’d love to help you find your perfect location….
