Business Class….Photographed for Success! {Loudoun County Photographer}

Donna contacted me this week needing a photo for an upcoming conference she’s speaking at, and we found a time that worked for both our schedules this morning.  Donna went with a Digital Session 1, which is a mini session that concentrates on a headshot image, and includes your studio time and one full resolution digital file in both black and white and color.  For Donna, as which most clients, I asked her to bring along a dark top or jacket and a light top or jacket.  Knowing I’ve not met my clients before they arrive, I typically can get a good assortment of shots for them using both looks, and show them a good number of proofs for their selection.

For anyone considering a new headshot, I had Donna in and out in under an hour, (she’s a busy lady and I didn’t want to keep her any longer than I had to), and in that hour I had enough shots to show Donna 20 proofs.  She had her gallery of proofs up within two hours (since I’m leaving for Vegas tonight for 3 days I wanted to get this up for Donna quickly).  My goal is to make the process of getting a new headshot painless and easy for you – most of you are very busy and don’t typically want to sit and smile for two hours to find “the look”.  I work hard to help you find your “side”, your smile, and the look you need for the particular purpose of the photo.

If you would like an updated image for your business card, website, publication, or other, please consider giving me a call and we can chat about your options.  I have two digital packages and if you need more than two images, you can always purchase more at a discounted amount.

And here’s Donna….

Class of 2011 – Pre-booking special!! {High School Senior Photographer}

Pattys 5x7 senor card front SW

Well, Juniors – it’s time to start thinking about being a senior (if you haven’t already, LOL!).  And one of the first things some of the schools will make you think about is your yearbook photo.  You will have to have your photo taken by the school (you’ll be given a date/time to have that done by “their” photographer” automatically, OR you have to find another photographer that can provide the tux or drape for the photo, the right background, and can submit your image to your school in an approved format.  I’m “approved” by Loudoun Valley High School, Heritage High School, and Stone Bridge High School already.  I’m happy to get approved for YOUR school if it’s not listed already, so just ask!

So, since you have to start thinking about it, and you KNOW the school photographer isn’t going to work with you until you are happy with your images, why not think about booking your session with me?  I can get that pesky yearbook photo to your liking, and with this special, you can get a second full session to go around town, or to your home…to a park…to field…anywhere you want to get photos of you that capture YOUR personality.  This is a “Two for One” deal – you get my Double Exposure -one person session for the price of my Single Exposure – one person session, and all you have to do is book your session by April 30, 2010.  Your sessions need to take place in June or July of this year, but to get TWO sessions for the price of ONE, isn’t it worth it?  And then it’s DONE.  And you can move on to better things – like selecting your college, or going to the beach and enjoying your summer…and not have to stress like everyone else will when September comes around and you HATE your senior photos for the yearbook.

Pattys senior pre booking promo SW

So what are you waiting for?  THIS IS A GOOD DEAL!  Pass it on folks…and call or email me by April 30th to reserve YOUR dates now.  July is booking up FAST!

For more information on my senior photography offerings, please visit my Senior website at www.pattyschuchmanphotography.com/seniors, and check out my Senior Info guide for online details on offerings!

I want to be YOUR senior photographer – so call today and let’s plan a session to remember (in a good way).

Another Loudoun Valley Senior – Class of 2010 {High School Senior Photography}

Caitlin’s mom contacted me after Caitlin received a referral card from one of my senior reps, Katilin Bledsoe of Loudoun Valley High School. Caitlin’s mom wanted Caitlin to have fun senior photos, and the school photos were ok, but they wanted something different. We chatted for a while about the offerings I had, and they opted for a Senior Double Exposure session. After a few snow schedule changes (down with snow now!), we were finally able to get Caitlin into the studio to do the first of her two sessions. Caitlin has decided to do the second session as “on location” session, and wants to wait until it’s warmer to go to some fun locations. One of the benefits of a Double Exposure session is that seniors get to really customize their photo experience, and in the end, get more diverse photos to select from in their gallery.

I had a hard time stopping yesterday and could have probably worked with Caitlin for another two hours! She was so much fun to work with, brought GREAT outfits to change into, and was open to playing a bit to find fun poses, and coordinating set ups. I LOVED getting to know Caitlin and hope Caitlin and I find some really fun places to go in the spring too for session #2.

I promised Caitlin a sneak peek of her gallery, and I’m having hard time narrowing it down to my favorites, but in the end, I’m tossing a few up here for Caitlin to see and hope she loves them! Gallery will be just a few more days, at the most, but for now – here’s a taste of the day with Caitlin….

Even if you are graduating this June, you don’t have to write off your senior photos from the ones you had done last summer.  If you still want to have some fun, and get creative, give me a call and we’ll customize a session that will work for you!  Caitlin’s option of one studio and one “on location” is the most common choice for seniors and gives you the most flexibility – but don’t rule out a single on location session if you just want to compliment the photos you’ve already had done.

And for those of you YET to be photographed – the rising senior class – DON’T just take what comes along from the school – YOU HAVE A CHOICE!  Call or email me today to find out if your school allows outside photographers to submit your yearbook photo, and get the look you WANT in the yearbook, not one of five options that don’t truly represent YOU.  And then, let’s have some FUN with the rest of your session…

Check out my senior offerings online at www.pattyschuchmanphotography.com/seniors, or get detailed session offerings in my online brochure at www.pattyschuchmanphotography.com/SeniorInfo – you won’t be sorry you checked it out, but you may be sorry if you don’t…

February 22, 2010 - 10:11 pm Kaitlin - I love these pictures of Caitlin! Glad the session went well! :)

And here are the Fresh Faces Winners {Loudoun County Photographer}

So…since I did not have enough entries to warrant voting, I’ve decided to give the three who entered each a FREE DOUBLE EXPOSURE session!  Originally it was to be one girl, one boy…but since I only had three entries, I’m giving each entrant a FREE session!  Thank you to Patrick Pomata, Sara Weber, and Mora Sweeny – each entered with the following photos and I can’t wait to get together for your sessions!

I’m disappointed there weren’t more folks entering, but I’m excited to have THREE new Fresh Faces for my portfolio, and I can’t wait to see where these folks decide to “go” with their sessions.

Playing with a new backdrop in studio—– {Loudoun County Photographer}

So…I dragged Kaitlin out here in all this snow, over hill and dale..through the woods and everything so I could play with a couple new light setups and a new backdrop.  It was crazy to drag her out here, but with all this white stuff I was going a little stir crazy to not have picked up my camera in a while, and not be focusing on something other than the snow.  (which is pretty boring, now folks…)

So crazy as it was, it was a whirlwind of doing as much as we could quickly as possible.  The one main goal was to play with the Parking sign backdrop – and I think we got that at least!  So, here she is – Kaitlin and the parking sign …..

I need to play more with all the stuff I’ve been working on, so the snow HAS TO MELT to make the road and the driveway better for folks.  Fingers crossed for sun this week as that is the best snow removal out there.

Fresh Faces is still going on, and I might have to extend the deadline for entries…so far we haven’t had much interest and I’m trying not to take it personally {SIGH}…so if you know of someone ages 15-19, tell them to enter – it just takes a snapshot and you’re in!  Email me your snapshots to:  patty@pattyschuchman.com and that’s pretty much all it takes.  I’ll take entries and put them up on a poll here for you to have your friends and family come and vote..and the winner gets TWO FREE sessions – a Double Exposure session – FREE!  Free to enter, free to win…why not try?

February 22, 2010 - 2:39 pm Darlene - What an awesome background!

February 16, 2010 - 3:36 pm Kaitlin - So the other picture isn't showing! :( But i love these! SO much!
